Sean Stewart
NOBODY'S SON
book cover

Who recommends: Catie, Preeti, JW, Rebekah, Margaret
Who discommends:

Beautiful prose, great story. We find out what happens after the regular guy saves the fairy tale princess. Do they get along? Does he get his promised reward? How does the regular guy fare in his new elevated milieu? Okay, that's about all I remember about this book. --Preeti

Haven't read much lately, except on the 14hr plane flight to and back. One thing I did read was NOBODY'S SON by Sean Stewart. It was a more subtle, emotional book that I expected. Lots of humor and difficult issues, the focus being parenthood and abandonment. Wish the main character would have cursed less, though I realize that was supposed to emphasize his "commonness".--Rebekah (09 Oct 00)
