Great romance, very central to the story and had a great hea ending. It reminded me of the Judith Tarr series, Hound & the Falcon; very character-driven with believable people who you care about. Yes, I definitely enjoyed it. I would say this first one could be a standalone; but your interest is piqued enough to want to know more. --Julie
