I thought the first few were great. And then I got overdosed. I may get back to the series one day.--Catie

This is another of those titles I (and a co-worker) push onto our student workers, any other students, faculty, distant relatives, and chance-met acquaintances. We also make it a point to keep all the Anita Blake books available at our library (they circulate A LOT on interlibrary loan, too).--Kathleen

I adore the Anita Blake books, though the recent ones seem to be declining in charm. However, maybe that's because I'm less keen on werewolves than on vampires ...--Tanya (30 Jul 99)

Anita Blake sure isn't timid. I've read all of these and enjoyed them. They have been getting repetitive though, what with Anita getting even more extra super powers every book, and with everything that walks or crawls wanting to have sex with her. But, I'm looking forward to her new book which is supposed to get back to basics.--Shelly (31 Jul 99)

This one I definitely enjoyed, and have enjoyed most of its sequels. I particularly enjoyed the developing relationship between Anita and her favorite vampire. The change in Anita's attitudes throughout the series is also interesting. It's fairly clear, however, that we will never really get a hea.--Margaret (15 Oct 00)
