We recently reported the nominees for The Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Awards. What would be your pick for Best Science Fiction Novel?

I think you should have another poll in conjunction with this one: "How many of these books have you read?". That would put the results in perspective. I only read two of the five and so am really only voting for which one of the two was better. But I'll be hunting up the other three :-).

By the way, when you've previewed your comment, it says "click the back button on your browser to re-edit it." But when you click "back", you come to a blank comment page (i.e. you lose everything you've typed!).

I haven't read any of these except CALIFIA'S DAUGHTERS, which I'm boggled to see on the list - I didn't consider the "romance" plot to be an important element at all.

The romance in CALIFIA'S DAUGHTERS wasn't an important plot element, but I thought it was rather sweet. I have to admit I'm one of the whopping two who voted for it. I found the characters more emotionally engaging then in Angel-Seeker, the only other book I'd read.
