i never really read a romantic fantasy book what are some good starter books, or just really good ones, fantasy first, romance second? ???

About half-way down it lists some "must-read" books.  I've read all the books listed except for one and think they give a nice overview of the various types.

I highly recommend Bujold, Shinn, McKinley, Pope, & Briggs.
